Well this site hasn't been doing much for the last year. No users or anything. Now that Bebo looks like its going to be blocked we're all gonna have to find another way to amuse ourselves during labs or when we're meant to be doing study :).

Right so lets try do something about it in the new semester of 2006. Anyone any ideas on advertising, getting more users etc?

Halloween Costume Contest

I know this is a bit late, but you should have known it was coming! Its time for the 2005 CampusBlender Halloween Contest! It's the usual drill: whore yourself up in a costume, take a picture of it, and send it to Partyincollege@gmail.com Take pictures of your friends' costumes as well and submit them also. There are no requirements, just email your picture and a brief description of your costume, your username, and if you'd like your name associated with the picture or just be anonymous. Prizes are too be determined.

I'll give you up until Nov. 5th for submissions, then I'll post the worthy ones in a thread in The Party.

There are many other Loan companies out there, and you can even call up your current provider and they should be able to consolidate you quickly over the phone. Evan if you are still in school, taking 20 minutes to consolidate your loans can save you tens of thousands of dollars, do not delay!

PartyUCC 2004/05

Welcome to a new year in (Party)UCC, lets hope this year will be as successful as last year. For all those who have been with us previously, I hope that ye will have as much fun here... if not more!

To those who are joining us for the first time, its time to PARTAAY!!!!!

Features to the site include:
~The ever popular message board
~A photo gallery where you can upload your own pics and get to view pics of other users
~A calander for you to post events and find out whats going on around UCC
~Weekly polls for you to vote on and see if the majority are in agreement with you
~Book Trading will hopefully be available soon and allows those who are looking for specific books (if the Boole isn't big enough for ya!) that another user may be willing to sell.

~~#~~ If there are many new users to the site, we intend to have PartyUCC nights out where you can have a chance of meeting up with other members and have craic in some of the best pubs, clubs, and entertainment venues in Cork.

To all users of partyUCC,
From now on if you wish to create a new account on partyUCC you will be required to supply an official UCC mail address. The acceptable addresses are:
@ucc.ie
@student.ucc.ie
@student.cs.ucc.ie
@bismail.ucc.ie

For those of you who have accounts registered before these restrictions were put in place you can still use your accounts as normal.

~ The Hookup section is now in business! ~

Hey everybody,
We know there has been some confusion about partyUCC's hookup section so here is the scéal:

To use hookup click on the 'hookup' button in the main menu bar...


You will then be asked to select a photo of yourself, from your partyUCC photo gallery, to use in this section. NOTE: The hookup section is moderated and false photographs will be removed.

Once you select a photo you can return to the hookup section where you will now be able to see all the other users who are using hookup and select whether or not they would be a match for you.


From now on when you log in you can check if you have matched with any of the people you selected (i.e. they also chose you as a match) by going to hookup and clicking on 'My Matches'.


By the way if you vote for someone they won't know unless they vote for you too so there's never going to be any embarassment!

Thats it! Its all a bit of fun and it has become a very popular feature in the party in college network so come on UCC give it a go!
